If it's winter, dress warmly as this area gets windy BUT it is one of the most incredible sights in the city. The pedestrian-only Distillery District, set in quaint 19th century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, draws crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with hip indie restaurants, bars and boutiques. Art lovers come for the galleries, outdoor sculptures and dance, music and stage performances at the area's several theatres. A MUST see if this is your first time in Toronto. Also, 6 minute walk away!

Really cool market with fresh everything. There are three parts to the market: - Farmers Market (open Saturdays) -Antique Market (open Sundays) -General Market (open Tues-Sat) St. Lawrence Hall, built in 1850, today houses retail businesses on the ground floor and City offices on the second floor.

A ten-minute walk straight down Sherbourne St, Sugar Beach is your mini-beach in the city. There is no water access (as it goes into the harbour which isn't safe) but it is a beautiful spot to catch some sun.
