The bus goes up and down Knapton Hill every 1/2 hour on week days and every hour on Saturdays. The bus stops are pink or blue poles on Knapton Hill at the corner of Skyline Road and Skyline Drive, a 7 minute walk from the apartment. The buses on the half hour and on the hour on week days. Route 3 runs from Grotto Bay Hotel to the City of Hamilton bus terminal. Other buses connect from there to other beaches and spots If possible, bring USD $5 in change per person to catch the bus for the first time. Once you get to the Hamilton terminal, you can buy bus tickets or daily pass.

Bring a light sweater and windbreaker / raincoat with you. The air is damp and it can be cool at night and in the winter. Bring slippers as the apartment has no carpet Coffee, tea, cereal, milk, toiletries and dish soup will be available when you arrive. You may want to bring other non-perishable items as these may be expensive to buy on island. Check with your airline what you can bring in your luggage and baggage weight restrictions

Locals are friendly, but they like to be greeted. Say Good Morning or Good Afternoon before you start your conversation, and they will be very helpful

Bermuda is a very family friendly place Kids are very safe here Only concern is the traffic on major streets because there are few sidewalks

Everything is imported and hefty customs duties are applied to many items. Ways to save include - Take the bus or ferry - there are many routes during the day that run every 15 minutes to 1/2 hour on weekdays with good access to beaches and attractions. The ferry ride is a wonderful opportunity to take some brilliant photos.

Enjoy some local cuisine and drinks including - Bermuda fish sandwich Bermuda fish chowder UK style tea time Dark N Stormy (local rum drink) Rum Swizzle Fresh fruit punch (great for kids and adults) You can find all these items and more at the Swizzle Inn, near the airport on the number 3 Bus Route. Sand Bermuda Sand is lovely but difficult to sweep / clean out. Most beaches have outdoor showers / foot baths. Please rinse off and leave the sand at the beach! Thank you Other tenants Your neighbors - Rockhouse is a multi-unit dwelling. There is a tenant above you and one beside you. They are working locals so please be sensitive to excessive noise - Thanks! No smoking policy The building is no-smoking inside. Thanks!
