My favorite place for breakfast or just my morning cappuccino. Ivett, the owner, speaks perfect English and makes each visit a pleasant one. Try the breakfast sandwich, the crepes (divine), the chilaquiles, and the smoothies. Really everything is so good!

Another great place for breakfast right down the street from Lola y Moya. Robin and Steve are the owners of the Guesthouse, and the restaurant is right on the bottom floor off the street.

One of our favorite places for dinner. Try the catch of the day or the ceviche. The ceviche is the best in town, in my opinion.

Within walking distance. Tacos for breakfast? Yes, please. They are only open in the morning and early afternoon. Very inexpensive.

Mangata is open on Tuesdays, when my other favorites are closed. Very unique and healthy breakfast options. The presentation is as good as the food.

Take the Colectivo
The Colectivo (bus/van) service in town is so inexpensive and convenient. From the house, you can walk to the road that takes you into town and catch it there. It stops close to where the taxis line up. Just jump in the white van and give the driver 12 pesos (as of today's writing) and get off wherever you want once you get to town. To go back, you can catch it at the square, right across from the church.

If you catch a taxi out by the highway, it's just 30-50 pesos for a ride into town. If there are several people, this can be less expensive than the Colectivo. You can also get a taxi to meet you at the gate of the neighborhood or even pick you up at the house. Jessica has the # for the taxi service. See below for other private taxis.

Take the ADO or Playa Express
If you aren't renting a car and want to go to Playa Del Carmen or Cancun for the day, the ADO (bus) or the Playa Express are inexpensive ways to do so. Catch both by the highway. The ADO requires that you buy a ticket at the bus station and the Playa Express you can just jump on and pay the driver.

Rental Cars
If you decide to rent a car during your stay, doing so at the airport is usually the best deal. Avoid off-site companies like Mex and America. Renting a car locally in Puerto Morelos is usually more expensive, but convenient. Check out Europcar.

These people will shop for you and deliver. Great option for groceries if you don't have a car. 11 am to 11 pm.
