Beaches

Great beach to swim at, many stairs to walk up and down but worth the effort! Go early to avoid crowds, ideal up until mid afternoon as the sun sets to the west and creates shade on the rocks

Great beach on the east coast. Beach has a nice little canteen for food and refreshments. Beautiful waters. The road down to the beach is a little rough so take it slow. Don’t miss the hammock by the rocks in the water!

One of my favourite spots to catch the sunset as it sets directly in front of you. There is a smaller cove on the north side of the beach (right as you are looking towards the water) and the most beautiful little private beach to the south - but you need a water canoe or kayak to reach it - so if you have one bring it! Beach also has a canteen for snacks

A vast stretch of a beach on the east coast of the island. The south part of the beach called Limni is a nudist beach. This use to be an ancient port called Skandeia from which dyed textiles departed for the Venetian empire. A large earthquake and tsunami destroyed the ancient township which now lies kilometres underwater. Don’t miss the delicious food at the local family run tavern called Skandeia.

Another beautiful eastern coast beach with beautiful waters. The first section of the beach has a canteen and umbrellas the rest of the beach which stretches south is free of umbrellas and tends to be the nudist section. The far south part (as you are looking put to the sea on the right) is the best bit!

One of the most picturesque beaches on the island beautiful when the winds are not blowing from the west. Beware that the walk down is treacherous so you need good shoes and a strong will. Once you get down though it is all worth the struggle. Bring your snorkel and try to spot the 2 ancient canons on the sea bed and explore the rock cave situated close to the shoreline.

The main port of the island and the beach with the most exotic waters. ΜGreat for all ages and a beach you can stay all day. 2 great cafes on the beach and a tavern close by give you food and drink options throughout your day. Very family friendly as the waters are shallow

The cutest little beach on the island, this feels a bit like a recluse, beautifully sculpted sand rocks decorate the shoreline and the size of the little coast makes it fee like a private beach. Road down is a little bumpy at points so if your car is low be very careful!

This beach is best accessed by renting a sea bike from the main beach in Kapsali and paddling across. On Sundays a local crew group offers a fun zip line from the rocks straight into the water!

Beautiful green waters on the south of the island situated between the main bay of Kapsali and Chalkos beach. A small walk down the gorge will take you to this beautiful little cove that offers seclusion.
