Sightseeing
Half Dome is an iconic Yosemite feature. It is best seen either from Glacier Point (drive out Glacier Point Road, which is close to the Yosemite Cabin) and enjoy the unique view of Half Dome's profile and back side. You can also take the trail to Mirror Lake from Curry Village and enjoy the view of Half Dome from its base. Another cool/adventurous option is to take the Snow Creek Trail (a super steep, windy trail) and get some of the best head-on views of Yosemite from across its canyon.

A great, low-angle hike that even kiddos can do. Great views of Half Dome and Mirror Lake is a great place for a dip. The lake dries up by autumn though!

This is a high-angle trail that takes you to the top of Yosemite Falls. If you are fit and looking for a safe adventure, this is worth your time! Often you will spy high-liners walking slacklines above the Falls, which is a special thing to watch!

The only proper grocery store located in Yosemite is in the Yosemite Village. They have everything you could want/need - but it's slightly more pricey than if you stop at VONS in Oakhurst or the grocery store in Mariposa on your way into Yosemite.
