My favorite spot for an apple fritter, or cinnamon roll. Worth the drive to Alanson. And the prices are very responsible. Lots of good baked options.
They have an eat in area, but I usually grab a dozen donuts to bring back to the family.

Skiing is amazing, cross country trails are great, excellent snowshoe terrain. And the best ski school around!

Really cool town set on Lake Michigan, and the downtown overlooking Lake Charlevoix. Great shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
