We have sent a number of guests to Modern Times for breakfast and all have enjoyed it. Fair Trade American breakfast fare for all preferences: vegetarian, vegan, and carnivores. Walking distance.

The Lowbrow is one of my favorite places for a classic American Breakfast. In the summer on Sundays, it is on the same street as the Kingfield Farmers' Market, which is not to be missed.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, hands down. The owner buys as much of his produce as he can from local markets - and even grows some. It is the best Indian food in the city by far!

Powderhorn is a wonderful park in the heart of South Minneapolis. It is great for a short walk or jog around the lake or has a number of playgrounds to burn off kids' energy.

The Greenway is a bike lover's dream. The path goes from the Mississippi to the Chain of Lakes. You are almost always above or below the road and hardly ever have to stop.

The Falls are absolutely beautiful. Not many cities have a 40' waterfall to brag about. If you enjoy the natural world, you gotta check this out. It is also accessible by LRT and NiceRide.

Fort Snelling is a beautiful state park at the confluence of the Mississippi and MN rivers. It's a great place to walk and maybe see some deer, fox, or turkey. 10-15 min. drive, or LRT.
