This is the best bakery in Huntsville! They have a great breakfast menu from traditional eggs and bacon to extraordinary breakfast pastries and sandwiches. Many rave about their strawberry cake but our absolute favorite is the pecan roll and lemon bar. No matter the time of day you visit you must ALWAYS get a dessert.

If you haven't been to a Mellow Mushroom, then what you are missing is 1) a unique, quirky atmosphere that is different at each location, 2) an excellent beer selection from all over (including whatever is local), 3) fantastic pizzas, including the Holy Shiitake, and 4) friendly, attentive service. The Magic Mushroom soup is also excellent, and if you don't like pizza there are also sandwiches, salads and desserts available. More could be said, but really it's just a consistently excellent experience. Go check them out!

This second story industrial style bistro is our go-to for happy hour. It’s perfectly situated in downtown and during the summer months they open the large rolling doors that give you a balcony style view of the city. As for the food it's definitely a step above your typical bar food. They make great craft cocktails and have a good amount of beer on draft.

Sightseeing
This park is a lovely oasis in the heart downtown Huntsville. It's adjacent to the Huntsville Art Museum and the city's premier concert venue, the Von Braun Center. The walkway twists along the creek through woods and farmland. There is even a pasture with horses along the way. From one end to the other it is about 3 miles. It's great for a family outing.
