Tourist fun

Fantastic small museum with an amazing exhibit on the oldest shipwreck found in the Western Hemisphere.

Even while cruising in general is on the other end of the vacation spectrum from staying at Seasongs, a visit to the Cruise Center can be fun. Open only when the cruise ships are in port, the Cruise Center is home of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville with a big swim -up bar and very good burgers. The scene there must be seen to be believed! Be sure to check out the exhibit about astronaut John Glenn, who splashed down off in his Mercury space capsule Friendship 7 off of Grand Turk in 1962. Best shop? The Dizzy Donkey, hands down.

Wonderful art, decorative items and jewelry - all of it made on Grand Turk. Fantastic coffee, too - Island Creations is one of only two places on the island to get good coffee! The proprietors are very friendly and informative - a great place to sit in their breezy patio, relax and chat. High quality items with very reasonable prices.

Diving

All things underwater
Smitty, Chris, Jason and the rest of the crew will take good care of you. Great for experienced or novice divers and snorkelers alike. Our younger son did his Open Water certification with Jason and loved it. Be careful, though - Chris does potcake puppy rescue and those little dogs are so sweet, you might just go home with one!

Another great dive shop - super nice people, committed to the health and wellbeing of Grand Turk's people and environment. Kristen will get you set up and Henry is a favorite dive master.

Brian and Sabine have years of experience leading whale watching trips and often put their passengers in the water with the animals! Their boat is mighty and really moves!

Sightseeing

Great route to ride - you can go all the way to the north of the island and see the lighthouse. Chukka Adventures runs a zipline facility there - super fun!

Great museum with lots of soul. It's a five minute walk down West Road to Front Street from Seasongs and is not to be missed.

Historic, scenic spot at the north tip of the island, accessible by bike, golf cart or car. Looking to the east, there's nothing between you and Africa!

Classic tropical beach and usually the best place to find sea glass. Best to go on a non-cruise ship day or early/late if you want solitude.

Beautiful, often uninhabited. Check out the mangrove swamp and where they sank a bunch of old cars (maybe to stabilize the shore?)

EVERYBODY needs to go to the Sandbar - it's simply the best. Good food, great hang-out bar and so much love. Tania is truly the hostess with the mostess. One time, we were coming back from the morning dive, feeling like some lunch before going out again. Our then teenaged son dived off the boat, swam in, and ordered us lunch. By the time the boat was moored and we'd walked up Duke Street, our burgers were ready. Doesn't get any better than that!

The Ridge Cafe at the Arches is more than a bakery - and it has awesome baked goods. Open usually for breakfast and lunch, you sit in a covered outdoor dining room with a near 360 view of the island. Check their Insta thearches_grandturk or FB for the daily menu and announcements of occasional dinners. Lighthouse Road. Cash only.
