This inventive restaurant is excellent in every way. The atmosphere is casual but hip. 5 course mane will cost you 30€, which I believe it is a bargain, based on the fact that all of ingredients are coming from small local eco friendly producers. No exception is the exquisite wine list of more than 50 Slovenian organic producers. You will not see industrially produced wine in Tabar.

This place is known for its eggs and it is a perfect place for brunch. Located a little bit out side of the strict center, where you can enjoy your eggs in peace.

I do not qualify myself as a vegetarian, however I am very careful about the meat that I consume. I strive for locally produced meat from small farmers, therefore on meat free days I often find myself at lunch time in vegan place called Barbarella. They can really prepare some tasty dishes.

For the best burgers in town, head to Hood Burger. They are famous for organic localy produced products. Hood burgers are from 100% of Slovenian beef. The cattle is grass fed and is grazing outdoors in the karst region under Nanos mountain. Even fries is 100% Slovenian cultivated on a farm in Dolenjska region.
