Take some bug repellent. The mosquitoes can be very bad. If you go early spring there are none.

This is a small state park off River Road. Very pleasant walking trail through the forest. At the end there is a cliff that you can climb down (at your own peril) and there is a pretty beach.

A magnificient walking spot next to a creek. Very scenic. Take your camera. It is quite spectacular if you go right to the end.

Its a lot of fun and you travel on the pretty part of the lower Dells (Wisconsin River). Do it on a hot sunny day - you get wet. I take a plastic bag with a towel and its somewhere to put my valuables I don't want to get wet e.g. camera. Its good to wear something that dries fast.

This amazing two-room cottage located in Mirror Lake State Park, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1958 is open to the public on the second Sunday of the month. Excellent tours at a budget price. A friend said he thinks its the best place to visit in the Dells.
