I do advice to check the car plates match the the once the car has when it arrives. 99% of the restaurants, cafes and bars have free wifi, is easy to book your car. I strongly advice you DO NOT take taxis from the streets, I never do it, as tourist you shouldn't either.

EL CENTRO NEIGHBORHOOD.
El Centro is oldest part of the city, full of historic buildings, totally worth going. Start in Bellas Artes, and walk towards Zocalo, where Palacio Nacional and La Catedral are. Go to the Hotel De La Ciudad De Mexico Roof terrace opposite the National palace. Great to grab a coffee or drink and enjoy the view. One way to see it is on the Turibus Tour. Sunday is my favorite day to do the Turibus there as is less traffic and it's easier to walk around El Centro.

Outside the market there are two options to sit and have a meal or a drink. SAKS Restaurant for healthy and vegetarian option, or next door, FONDA SAN ANGEL, classic mexican food, both great!!! You can walk to MERCADO DEL CARMEN, a more contemporary version where young producers offer food, crafts, among other things.
