Always one of the top three Barbecue places in Texas in the Texas Monthly survey for years. Only open from 8 AM to Noon on Saturday and often sells out before Noon. I recommend getting there before opening time to avoid a wait of more than an hour and take a lawn chair. Absolutely the best brisket I have ever had, you can cut it with fork! Get the chicken and eat it for breakfast while it is hot.

A transplant from Elgin (Sausage Capital of Texas). Get the sausage poppers (deep fried sausage stuffed with jalapenos stuffed with cheese).

This is a secret known only to locals, a little hard to get to, but amazing steaks. Surprising to find a big steakhouse in a town of 50 people, hidden in the hills. Try the onion rings.
