Going out

A night on the town!

This guide is recommandations of bars, cocktail bars and clubs that I love myself. So if you are looking for a night out and you want some local tips, then check this out.
Exclusive and decadent cocktails in a beautiful setting and atmosphere. The cocktails are pretty pricy, around 130-150DKR for a cocktails, but even one of them is definitely worth the experience!

NoHo is my local go-to bar and club for going out close to home ;) The upper floor is more cozy and conversation-friendly and it is also a restaurant during the day but fridays and saturdays it turns into a party joint and the basement offers a dance floor, bar and a wardrobe. No entrance fee but a smal wardrobe fee. You might risk standing in line to get in but I have never tried it more than maybe 15-20 min. Also, remember to get there a bit early because it closes at 3am sharp! You have to be 27 to get in (I think)..

This cocktail bar was one of the first real feinsmecker cocktail bars in Copenhagen (since then a lot more have emerged) and it is still one of my favorites. It is located inside a courtyard so it can be a bit tricky to find, but look for a sign with the name on the street wall. It is an old drugstore now transformed into a three storey bar with a dark and smokey whiskey bar right at the top in between the old ceiling beams. Great spot for cocktails and conversations (not dancing!)

This a good combo of a dancing spot and a nice cocktail bar very centrally located in the inner city. It is located inside a courtyard, so you have to watch out for it - and the guards are usually very strict with no noise when you walk through the yard (so now you are warned!) No entrance fee but a fee for the wardrobe.

A very cozy, dim-lighted bar close to home. Wonderful cocktails and service. A great place to start the evening and get a pre-dinner drink.

The posh Hotel D'angletere's champagne bar, Balthazar, is an exclusive and delicious bar with the absolute best espresso martini in the city! Cocktails are around 155-180DKR (so pricy!) and they serve champagne by the glass from 135DKR.

Bremen's club called 'Natbar' is my favorite place to go dancing. No entrance fee, a small wardrobe fee and a big dance floor! This is also close to home and it is a quite popular place to go Friday and Saturday night. Make sure not to get there too late in the evening 'cause at around 1-2am the line is impossible and you can risk standing in it for 1 hour - so get there around midnight and hit it before it really gets busy.

If you like a good, dark, smokey and good old fashioned pub - Amigo Bar is the place in this neighborhood. You can smoke, you can drink, have a good conversation over your beer and if you really feel it you can dance to the tracks from the jukebox in front of the bar! It is a LGBT+ bar but it is not something you really notice - if you want to go to places like that then you should rather head for 'Cosy' (https://www.cosybar.dk/) in the street 'Studiestræde' (that street is Copenhagen's LGBT+ street with a good concentration of homo bars). Cosy is a GREAT dance club/bar and there is always a party going on, even in the very late hours of the night. Also, I can reccomand the club 'Nevermind' at the street 'Nørre Voldgade 2': https://nevermindbar.dk/ - that too is a great place to dance!

This place is a quite speciel community space located in an old church. They arrange all kinds of social events like ping pong tournaments, croquis events, wine tastings and Spice Girl fan-girl parties. They often through some kind of party at Fridays and Saturdays. Stop by and check out what is going on when you are in town.

If you really want to go to a club-club, then try this one! It is located very central in the inner city, right across the shopping mall, 'Magasin'. It has an entrance fee (around 100DKR) and a wardrobe fee, age limit 27. You can get in with sneakers but you have to be 'presentable' in your outfit! Closes late (around 4-5am).
