At the coast ,we call these sort of restaurants Cafes pronounced "Keffs" -
little restaurants where local food;we're talking Biriani, Pilau, Coconut beans, Local greens, seafood(duh), chapatis and an array of Swahili snacks(especially in the mornings and evenings) is prepared fresh every day in advance and served pretty much immediately you order} they prepare their food in massive 'sufurias' and keep them hot until its done. The food is always amazing and extremely affordable I LOVE Swahili food and have it all the time! They do take out as well.

Grab a drink at either of their bars with the beautiful Indian Ocean at your feet.
Good for food and snacks of all sorts(don't miss their Friday happy hour and grill), very family friendly with a kiddie pool alongside it's 'big mama', speaking of which that is the name of their iconic dhow and lovely tours along the coast of Mld can be arranged.
