Food Scene
There's some decent happy hour food here, but you're here mostly for the view and ambiance. Great sunset spot on the water. We usually eat before we go, and just grab a few drinks under the outside tiki bar by the pool. (Note: avoid weekends like the plague, there's millions of kids.)

If you're looking to treat yourself, it's not cheap but it is delicious. Sushi, super fresh fish plates, great pastas.

The best fish sandwich you'll ever have. Fresh off the boat. I recommend the cajun fried Hogfish sandwich. The bar at the tiki upstairs is a great happy hour and sunset spot. It opens at 4:30.

It's the best breakfast spot on the island, IMHO. Sit in the back under the tiki.

Parks & Nature
This is usually a must-do on people's list. I personally haven't gone but I know it's beautiful from the highway. I do know that in high season (Jan-April) they do fill up and stop letting people in. So if it's on your list you may want to get there early. They do have a snorkel boat here so if you're looking to snorkel or dive the reef, this is probably your best bet.

In my opinion it's a must-do if you're looking for a relaxing day. Sombrero is one of the nicest beaches in the keys, people travel from all over to go to it. Avoid the kids and stick to week days.

Like the turtle hospital, this is a rehabilitation center for injured dolphins. I'm told to make it worth it, make sure you go during a time that there's a show. Supposed to be a really nice thing to do though.

If history is your thing, go ahead and make the haul to Hemingway house. Make sure you catch a guided tour, as it's way more engaging and interesting than just going to some guy's house.

Key West is always worth a day trip to see it. There's plenty of great food and always live music. I have a list of recommendations in the guide book in the room. And it is possible to do Key West on the cheap.

Robbie's is very touristy, but I will say, if you've never hand-fed a giant 250 pound tarpon, do yourself a favor and go do it. It's crazy-fun.
