Carloforte is the main town located in Saint Peter’s Island, and offers everything you might desire in addition to the Isola Piana. In Carloforte you will find supermarkets and local bakeries, italian fashion shops and delicious local seafood.
Fancy eating something local? Try the local tuna, or faine' (a focaccia bread made with chickpea flour), or pasta alla "carlofortina".
A motorcycle is an easy way to explore the island; or, if you fancy, you can rent a small dingy to explore the island from the sea - a licence may not be required. Visit la Bobba beach, le Colonne, la Caletta and Cala Vinagra. Visit "le tonnare" if strong wind from north-west (Mistral) hits the island.
