You can usually get a table here any night, prices are reasonable for this casual central American fare with a twist. I love the Bistec Melanesa - and the Flautas are to die for. It is casual and comfortable, not a party place and not overly loud. Great spot to relax, chat and have great food and beverages.

has the best breakfasts - breakfast burrito - awesome! Also has good burgers, and inexpensive low key option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It can get busy for breakfast on the weekends so plan accordingly.

Best European style bakery in town - about 10 minute drive - but worth it. Also has breakfast lunch and dinner service - busy on the weekend. Has great breads too - Copenhagen multigrain is my favorite!!!

Great place to walk around - peace and tranquility awaits. This is within walking distance of the house, and has something for everyone. Note - some of the trails are a little hilly. Beautiful gardens and greenspace - perfect for picnics, meditation, romantic walks, quiet reflection or just a nice stroll. There is parking near by, but be aware that much of it is paid parking - not expensive, if you don't get a ticket.

nice 3 mile loop trail going around the Washington Duke golf course - trail is shaded, somewhat hilly (couple of spots are quite steep) but a nice walk all the same. Consider brunch at the Washington Duke restaurant then walk it off on the trail on the weekend?

nice trails - well marked and can mix and match the trails to be a short out and back or several miles if you go into Duke Forest as well.

super cool baseball team - Tampa Bay affiliate, makes for and inexpensive change of pace. The stadium is small and intimate, not a bad seat to be had. Note that in the middle of summer, diamond view seating can be hot until the sun goes down - but there us plenty of places to go and cool off for a bit. Lots of food choices, and while you aren't supposed to take your own snack and small drink in, as long as you don't flaunt it they don't search you like some other stadiums. No coolers, but a couple of small bottles of water won't be noticed. Wooly Bull is the best in the business

Great place to take the kids with lots of indoor and out door activities. Some walking involved on the outdoor trails - some steep/hilly trails but most are paved and have resting areas if needed.
