Sightseeing
You can take a short bus ride to San Jose downtown and see National Theater, Plaza de la Cultura, Mercado Central .. you can also take a bus that can take you either Volcan Irazu in couple of hours or to Volcan Poas, in aprox 3 hrs . You can also take a bus or tour to Braulio Carrillo National Park, is less than 1 hour. Anywhere in San Jose is close. If you choose to go to Volcan Irazu .. its very cool to stop by the Sanatorio Duran on the way to the volcan (maybe is worth rent a car for a day if you want to stop in places on the way to the volcano).
