If you want a great cup of coffee and to watch hipsters abound, go here. Make sure you have time to wait in the line, then wait for your drip coffee. It's not my everyday coffee as it's $5 a cup!

This is one of my favorite Thai food places in the neighborhood. I love the Tom Ka Udon soup and the Larb Tod chicken nuggets are exploding with flavor. Get the watermelon or pineapple basil smoothie.

A local hangout that gets pretty busy on the weekends. Great place for guys to meet girls and girls to meet guys but as always in SilverLake, anything goes! The BBQ outside on weekends is good!

Amazing views of Los Angeles on clear days and nights. The Observatory has telescopes and many other learning tools housed in a beautiful building. It's also a great place to start a morning hike.

I love this little park. It's hidden, but at the top of the hill, is a great park to picnic, fly kites with a nice view of the city. It's also home to the Hollyhock House by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Trader Joe's is great for frozen entrees, ready made meals, snacks and general groceries. It's a LA staple. Just beware of the parking lot, it's always a nightmare!
