Jake's is a local favorite. Don't let the looks fool you - the food is excellent and affordable. I highly recommend their traditional wings (honey BBQ is the best) and the Prime Rib Sandwich. You won't be disappointed. Also, get the homemade fries.

The Pub 34 and View 34 are two restaurants located in one spot. If you want a fancy dinner, dine upstairs at the View 34. If you want a more low-key experience, dine downstairs at the Pub 34. Both overlook the public golf course which borders the Mo. River.

Red Rossa is more of a "chain" restaurant than anything else in Pierre. If you want Italian, you have to do La Minestra. If you want Italian and your kids want macaroni or cheeseburgers, Red Rossa would be better. The happy hours are a great budget friendly spot.

Take a walk around Hilger's Gulch and enjoy the views of Pierre and the Capitol building. The nice walkway is almost one mile.
