AMAZING THAI food. Enough said. Give Joy a hug from the Chesham Family. Make reservations on the weekend, and don't go if your in a rush for eating. Our favourite is the Pad Thai, old sauce, chicken Medium - Thailand doesn't top this place - trust me. Everything is great really, can't go wrong eating here - Drunken noodles, chicken satay. Tip well please! Joy and her husband are awesome, if you want the best Thai Food ever come here!

Ok - if you love Italian, come here. I've been to Italy, and their pizza/pasta quality is similar. Especially in the summer. It is honestly like going out to eat in Italy- food, atmosphere, ambiaunce. This place transcends geographical boundaries. Apricots will drop on your table during your meal, friendly service, home made pasta, great wine. Tip well please -these people are real people trying to make ends meet. I'm a huge fan of all their wood fired pizzas, as well as their gnocchi - really I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Worth a visit if your in the area looking for a great dining experience. Note - make a reservation in the summer, or on the weekend. Hot spot!

Lovely crowd, just don't take a dog with you to the market. Just for the info, no fast food available in QB, and there is a an old school has station that pumps your gas. Really amazing community - one of a kind. People don't retire here for no reason (minus the taxes).

172 Veterans WayI go here a couple times a year, there is a food truck that sells samosas - buy one first, then you will go back for a second one. There is a great bread guy too. Lovely crowd, just don't take a dog with you to the market. Just for the info, no fast food available in QB, and there is a an old school has station that pumps your gas. Really amazing community - one of a kind. People don't retire here for no reason (minus the taxes).

They make curds on Thursday (ready by 3 usually - even passed the squeak test, by me), and have a little shop where you can sample cheese and wine, from 9-5 pm, year around. Don't try the cheese without the wine. I'm not kidding. Don't come to the island without coming here. Cheese and Wine. It doesn't get better than this friends, except I guess if you bring cheese and wine back to me, than it would be better....

Amazing old trees, great stop for on the way to Tofino! Not a strenuous hike -good for all ages, take your camera for this one, and mind the local speed limit please in the parking area. Lock car at parking lot, and put valuables in trunk.

I call this our little Hawaii gem. I personally appreciate this beach more with younger children over Tofino, just due to the absence of the wind that I always find on long beach, as well as absence of the rip tide. Tofino is unique for its own reasons, but I am always stunned every time I go to Rathtrevor at sunset, and feel the warm sand and salty sea on my skin. This is something everyone has to do when they come to Parksville. When at Rathtrevor, time will stand still for you. You might even see the whales swim by. As soon as you get to Vancouver Island, download a tide app, so you know when to go down for the low tides to wade in the tide pools, as well as enjoy the sunsets.

Tofino is unique for its own reasons, but I am always stunned every time I go to Rathtrevor at sunset, and feel the warm sand and salty sea on my skin. This is something everyone has to do when they come to Parksville. When at Rathtrevor, time will stand still for you. You might even see the whales swim by. As soon as you get to Vancouver Island, download a tide app, so you know when to go down for the low tides to wade in the tide pools, as well as enjoy the sunsets.

Give your self at least 2 days, especially if you want to have a couple glasses to drink for your supper - check out Air B&B's. This place is unlike any other - I kid you not. Pay your Park Fees, take your camera, leave your bra at home. NO one goes to Tofino and leaves the same. This place will forever be etched in your mind.

We love top bridge for fresh water swimming and hiking! take your camera along, as well as your swimming suit, even if you think you are not a swimmer. These clear pools call out to you on a hot summer day. This place is the pinnacle of fresh water swimming. Earlier the better, as the secret is out on this hot spot. Caution advised with cliff jumping, and please clean up your litter in respect for future visitors. Make sure you take a cooler, with some drinks and snacks, you will forsake stay longer than you anticipated, and this will forever be etched in your mind!

Ok - so when you go - go up to Phil (up to his elbows in bottling wine) and give him a big, big, hug and buy lots of wine - and tell him the Chesham family sent you please! This guy is the most amazing guy ever. He is so, so smart, and I don't say that lightly - believe me. I always go for the blackberry, pear and raspberry wine personally. And tell him to get a grape licence to start bottling wine for my vineyard please- I might take 10% off your air B&B bill if you remind me. Maybe if we reach 300 people he will get the message - and then you all can come back and buy some of our wine next year. Here's hoping! Seriously, this could go down in the history books, don't miss this
