Park is much larger than Warren Dunes but the dunes themselves are a lot smaller. This is a better place than Warren for camping and offers more miles to hike, though. The park is huge and goes on for miles and miles.

The township office holds yoga on Saturday mornings. Go online to learn more.
If you can hold class on your own, there is a MAGICAL place BEHIND the office (walk the trail) that has a new wooden overlook in a tree that is AMAZING for yoga-- especially in the early morning hours when there is NOBODY around.
For tots, there is an AWESOME TOT SPLASH PAD and park here. It's all new and very nice. It is the closest (and only) access to public water in the area, besides the beach. Harbor County does not have public pools like Chicago does so this splash pad is a real gem.
Also go online to look for the free concert series there in the summer. They have some really good bands are all is FREE.

New Buffalo Township Office

If you can hold class on your own, there is a MAGICAL place BEHIND the office (walk the trail) that has a new wooden overlook in a tree that is AMAZING for yoga-- especially in the early morning hours when there is NOBODY around.

Beverly Shores is an Indiana community, on the boarder of MI and IN that uses a lot of golf carts to get around. Residents seem to love camping and the outdoors. A nice place to drive around and check out.

nice homes. you have to drive around a bit to make it in, but once you're there it's awesome-- and the glacial formations make the houses even cooler because they're on cliffs-- like San Fran. kind of.

Wow. Find a way in here (follow Grand Avenue and don't stop until you see the water) and you'll be glad you did. It's like San Francisco with all the glacial formations that the super fancy homes sit on. Trust me. Go there.
Grand Beach

New Buffalo is the city hub of Harbor Country. In it you can find many, many shops and grocery shopping-- festivals and so on.

Silver Beach is the prettiest and largest pristine beach in SW MI. Union Pier's beaches are equally pristine, but smaller and have a more unincorporated (wild) feel. You can make a fire on the beach in Union Pier, and not so in St Joe.
St. Joe is the largest city in the area, and much bigger than New Buffalo. The public offerings (beach) are plentiful if you value a GREAT public beach like we do and the city run indoor carousel is only $2 a ride-- it's worth it to spend the day in St Joe to go to the beach, visit the cafes, buy a scoop of ice cream, visit their farmer's market and walk around--- after your'e cleaned up from laying on the hammock and making fires in Union Pier, that is.
