1.25 hours from cottage. Amazing site to see not like anything else on island!! You can drive all the way to the look out at the top. It is the tallest volcano that you can drive up. Hiking, site seeing, sunset, sunrise. NOTE: for sunrise you will need to get a visitor pass 2 weeks+ in advance at their website. All other times of day are open to go without a pass. So we say skip sunrise and go for sunset! Just as amazing!

Closest beach to our house - 10 minutes away by car! Great surfing and windsurfing when there is a north swell. In winter this is a world famous surf spot with huge waves, world class windsurfing in springtime or good wind, great snorkeling & swimming in summertime during calm waters. 15+ turtles rest on the right side of the beach daily. Be mindful of the beach guests and view the turtles from the area above the beach next to the lifeguard tower.

Great park and large playground that was just restored by our local community for your kids that is only 5 min drive from the house. Large field for running and playing. Our kids favorite place to play and get energy out! Sometimes it is not raining here even though it may be raining at our house. We have seen many rainbows at this park while playing!!
