A 15 minute walk from the house and there is a woodland trail that you can follow right the way out of London into the heart of the forest. Or jump in the car and drive up to Highbeach if you're a bit more pushed for time.

Excellent Victorian park, one of the big two in London, great to go for a run or chill in the sun with the locals. Pavilion Cafe by the lake is our top tip for a sunny morning breakfast/brunch. Also a nice place to check out is Victoria Park village with restaurants.
