Food Scene
Groundswell offers a great (and diverse) menu to please everyone in your group. Walk down the beach in the morning for a coffee, or grab an iced tea and acai bowl (trust me, they're delicious)! Great vibes here, with indoor and outdoor seating looking over the beach. It's work-friendly, with free WiFi and plenty of seats. Additional seats are available inside if you need a quieter space. I'll be honest, beach pizza isn't my thing. That said, my family would KILL me if I didn't recommend Tripoli's beach pizza to people who visit. It's unique to the North Shore, so you really should try it before you go. It comes with 2 toppings: Pepperoni, or Extra cheese. I'll save the 'extra cheese' surprise for you when you get it :) Tripoli's has a nice sauce (on the sweeter side). You either LOVE it, or leave it. It's a great option for big groups, and you can carry it back down the beach to a hungry crowd.

It's unique to the North Shore, so you really should try it before you go. It comes with 2 toppings: Pepperoni, or Extra cheese. Check out the events at Blue Ocean while you're in town. Sometimes bigger artists want to play a smaller venue and wind up there. Worth a look!

Willey's is a staple of Salisbury Beach ... formerly known for their home-made chocolate, they're under new ownership this year. Between the homemade saltwater taffy and the (unreal) chocolate concoctions, They always have something fun cooking. Also, they now serve home-made ice cream from a walk-up window. One of our favorites is the soft-serve orange creamsicle in a cone or cup. It's a good excuse to walk down the beach for a treat. Bring some candy home for the friends who couldn't join you!

This reservation is really nice, and diverse in it's offerings. You can fish for Stripers (sea bass), or walk along the trails (some are dog friendly). Bird lovers, this will be heaven for you.

A real bird lover's paradise ... this refuge is protected most of the year to keep the perfect habitat for species like the piping plover and saltmarsh sparrow. We've seen snowy owls in winter, and bald eagles soaring overhead. It's a special place. Check out their website before venturing out, as parts of the refuge close throughout the year due to breeding activities of certain protected species'.
