Sightseeing
If you love hiking and love water falls this is the place to go. The waterfall after a rain reminds my wife and I of something you see on a movie. It seems like it gets cooler as you go into the waterfall area. The upper trail will burn your legs really good (Exercise Wise). The lower trail is more for true hiking around things and up hill.

Dirty dancing was filmed in two location mainly. This location was one of them. My wife really loves Dirty Dancing. Had some really cool movie facts posted at location on the property. We went on Christmas Day and it was amazingly beautiful inside of the Lodge Area. They have a restaurant onsite and a sitting area. We did not stay at the lodge we stay at Pleasant Stay.

Mountain Lake Lodge
115 Hotel CirDirty dancing was filmed in two location mainly. This location was one of them. My wife really loves Dirty Dancing. Had some really cool movie facts posted at location on the property. In this area there are a lot of areas to go ATV traveling. Pleasant stay has a parking area on left side drive way that makes it more convenient when traveling with a big truck, trailer, and atv. There is also a parking area in front of the Pleasant Outdoors Building. (Kayak Rental, Tubing, and Fishing Rods coming soon.

Brush Creek Falls was about a rough 10-15 minute walk/hike into the woods. Then it was a walk down the side mountain area. Our kids swam in the area below the waterfall and had a blast.

There is a Boat Landing in Rich Creek/Narrows, VA that allows you the opportunity to walk down the ramp and see the beautiful New River in all its glory. There are other areas that you can also see it if you start to explore the area.
