Beaches

One of Big Island's finest beaches, plenty of parking. Good for swimming, body boarding, and hanging out. Not great for snorkeling. Please watch out for large beach break swells.

Beautiful beach, limited parking. If you get there early enough, probably can find parking. When pulling up, there will be a guard shack who will let you know if there is parking. If there is no parking, ask to go to Mau'umae Beach, which is also nice.

Small, local beach that doesn't have any showers. However, a very beautiful little beach that is a great alternative if Mauna Kea beach parking is full.

This beach has more facilities, basketball, lots of grass, bathrooms, etc. A beach frequented by mostly families as the beach itself is protected from large waves.

Great beach to swim, snorkel and hang out. Can get crowded so best to go early. Locally known as "Sixty Nines" after the mile marker 69.
