Wee Too

Delicious local bakery and cafe—the owners also run the Rowdy Stickhorse Market across the street that carries local and organic offerings. The oatmeal here is AMAZING. Not too much space but there is outdoor seating in the warmer months.

This is a fun restaurant located inside Woodring Airport—we know and love the owner Jamie and she makes delicious breakfasts and lunches! Our kids love watching the planes take off (during the week they get a lot of T-6 traffic from the base). Mention that you’re staying in Haylee’s Airbnb and you’ll be treated like family. 😊 Every third Saturday of the month they do a Fly-In buffet breakfast from 7-10 and you’ll see lots of neat planes! Make sure and get there early because it’s so popular.

These are places that our four kiddos ask to visit again and again. 😊

This is a fun (free!) family activity about 50 minutes away from Enid. Things we bring: -Kites! It’s almost always windy out there and it’s a fun break from digging when you aren’t quite ready to leave -Folding chairs (at least for the grownups) -Clean clothes/shoes -Plastic bags for dirty clothes/shoes -Jugs of water to wash off hands/shoes -Sunscreen/hats/sunglasses (and I like to have a loose long sleeved shirt) -Waterproof bandaids -Shovels/garden trowels -Buckets -Water bottles and snacks -Beach towels for clean up Things we’ve learned: -Extra wash water is definitely a must! Especially if you get a cut or graze it’s like swimming in the ocean with an ouchie. -Wear clothes you don’t mind getting filthy (and that you don’t care if they survive)—we like water shoes or molded plastic shoes. It’s hard packed dirt with lots of rocks and crystals so you don’t want to go barefoot, or you’ll need those waterproof bandaids. -You can drive up close to the digging area. We back in and pop the tailgate of our van and use it like an umbrella for shade!

When the summer heat gets to be too much (or this mama needs a sanity break) we head to Skatetown! The kids love the fun atmosphere and music.

Cute little splash pad and park about 1/2 a mile from the Airbnb. The splash pad is fenced in and great for containing toddlers!
