McGill Park is directly across the road from The Farmstead, and is home to 90-acres of repurposed farm land. The park is currently open, but still under construction in some areas. The walking path leads you from The Farmstead all the way to the historic covered bridge near the high school. If you're in the area on a Friday night in the fall, you could walk from your accomodations to local high school football game, then walk to Shade on the Canal for burger and fries.

The Canal Winchester Historical Society has restored the town's train depot and original one room school house. Be sure to visit on Saturday's during the summer and fall for the farmer's market and tours of the historical buildings at this charming complex.
