Personal car is best
Having your own car will be the most reliable way to get around. Public transit in the area is available, but limited as compared to larger cities. Uber and Lyft do run, but you can sometimes wait a tad longer than you might like to get picked up.

Beach Access Locations
Traveling across the Mid-Bay Bridge from our house into Destin, you're just minutes from world renowned beaches. Do note there is a $4 toll each way.
Beach access locations we recommend:
Henderson Beach State Park (paid, offers showers, bathrooms, plenty of parking)
Crab Trap Destin (free, offers showers, bathrooms, parking is often busy)
Miramar Beach Public Access (free, offers showers, bathrooms, parking is often busy)

Watersport Activities
Destin is host to some incredible water based activities like pontoon boat and jetski rentals, dolphin tours, sunset tiki boat rides, parasailing, charter fishing, and more.
We are happy to provide recommendations of specific businesses for any of these services, but they book up fast so make sure to secure your bookings well in advance!
