It takes 1 hour driving from Tsoutsouros. Dikteon Antron" is called the cave where the god Zeus was born and raised. It is worth visiting the famous cave and be inspired by the great cretan mountainous nature. The Dikteon Cave (or Dikteon Andron) is one of the most important and famous of the 3,000 caves in Crete and the 8,500 in Greece.
It is in the impressive Dikteon Cave, rich in stalagmites and stalactites, that Zeus was born according to legend. This is why the Dikteon Cave was already famous in antiquity, dedicated to the worship of the greatest of the gods, as the many offerings found there indicate.

Chrissi, is one of the 81 uninhabited islands of Crete. The residents of Ierapetra call it "the Island" as there is a special relationship between them. Chrissi island lies 8 miles away from Ierapetra's coasts, in the Libyan sea.

The local specialty is salmon and trout grilled over an open fire. If you like walking, from here you can relatively easily get to the forest of Rouvas through a well marked path by first passing the church of Saint Nicholas.
