This cafe is a nice reprieve from the corporate vibes down the street at Starbucks! They make tasty drinks, amazing banana bread & a lovely Destino Biscuit sandwich!

My husband says this place (owned by a neighbor of ours) is the best falafel he has ever had. I am not as into falafel but their hummus and pita and giros are awesome! You order at a little window and wait for the magic to happen!

Get the Garden burrito and add Carnitas. It's my favorite but then again I always order this because it is so tasty. They are to go and outdoor dining last time I checked and used to have a punch card. They also sell fun Merchandise!

This park is two blocks from our house! It has tennis courts, basketball courts, large baseball/soccer fields, bleachers for sitting and chatting, old growth trees, a picnic area, off leash dog area and a Splash pad which opens at 11am.

This park costs $5 to park for the day or you can buy a pass for longer visits. Their restrooms have been closed with Covid but there has been a porta-potty there most of the time. I spend about 10 mins collecting debris, helps me feel better about letting the kids roam around. It is dog friendly so if you're not cool with dogs it may not be your cup of tea. Water can move quickly so definitely need life jackets for kids or timid swimmers.

This park has gorgeous views of Mt Hood and planes landing and taking off, a train that goes by frequently, a sand pit, paved sidewalk around the edge, swings (3 different types), fancy flush pod toilets and a porta potty, shaded picnic tables, merry go round, two types of slides, climbing ladder...etc. Its too much fun.

We are members and like to get there pretty early around 10 to beat the crowds and see as much as possible before my kids get tired.
You can bring your own food for a picnic on the big lawn next to the Elephant paddock or buy food there (even alcohol)!

We are members and like to get there pretty early around 10 to beat the crowds and see as much as possible before my kids get tired.
You can bring your own food for a picnic on the big lawn next to the Elephant paddock or buy food there (even alcohol)!

Such a good idea for a pub. They typically have all the local sports on and a lot of books for you to peruse while you sip a nice pint and enjoy some comfort food.
