Sightseeing

Utica Zoo is a regional facility and a sparkling gem for the Mohawk Valley. The Zoo has grown from its small beginnings with three fallow deer in 1914, to its present collection of 99 species of animals. Of the 80 acres of land set aside for the zoo’s use, 40 are presently developed.

One cannot mention Utica, N.Y. without the Saranac Brewery. Family owned and operated in the same location since 1888, this award winning brewery continues to expand in size and in variety. Saranac brews over 50 varieties of beer as well as non-alcoholic soft drinks.
