Boza is one of the traditional drinks of Turkish cousine, it's a healthy, fermanted thick drink. In the past there were many boza shops and boza sellers, now this place is the only place left. You can also see the cup that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (founder of modern the Turkey)drunk boza back in 1920's.

Hayri Usta Ocak Başı is one of my favourite Kebab Restaurants. It's so close to Taksim Square, on a little, local alley. It's popular by locals, yet tourists don't know there. The prices are way cheaper than other touristic kebab places.

Hayvore is one of my favourite fish restaurants in Istanbul. It's popular by the local people, very delicious and healthy. It's not a typical fish restaurant for nights or a place with alcholic drinks. But rather, it's a luch place where you can taste traditional Black Sea area cousine. It's around the Istiklal Street.

Kuzguncuk is a cute, local neighbourhood with beautiful old houses and apartments, along with trees. It is not a touristy place. You can find many boutique coffee shops, restaurants, clothes shops. It's on Asia side, and a bit diffucult to arrive. I recommend you to get a ferry to Üsküdar and walk for 20 min by the seaside to the north.

If you want to watch sunset and drink a glass of Turkish black tea with locals, I recommend you to go to Salacak Sahil Seaside. It's one of the best spots to see sunset in Istanbul, sice it's right across the historical peninsula. You can walk around the sea and sit on tea houses next to the water.
