I’m not a pizza person, but I had to say the pizza here was good and my nieces loved it. Plenty of room kids and buggies and seating available outside.

A lot has changed in New Cross and Deptford since I first arrived in the area as a student. I’m glad I stayed on but love now pulls me across the ocean to America to be a part-time resident there - for that reason I have the pleasure of hosting you in my humble abode.

There is a lot that I love about Deptford and New Cross (from here I will refer to the area as Deptford because even though strictly speaking the house is in New Cross, it is located right next to Deptford and is closer to the centre of Deptford than the centre of New Cross) and in this guide I want to share it with you so that you too can enjoy the best this neighbourhood has to offer.

Local Shopping
With Chinese, Indian and African supermarkets a five minute walk away, a thrice weekly street market and a well stocked corner shop with an extensive organic selection, you’re spoiled for choice here.
Best value hands down of any food retailer in the area. Great little supermarket has almost everything you need at nearly unbeatable prices. Asda is (was) a subsidiary of Walmart so they know how to do decent quality at a great price.

Not my favourite place to shop but they are open all day Sunday from 6am till 11pm which is handy when other places are closed and they do the best popcorn out there (butterfly popcorn £1.05 a pack) they also do really good roasted, salted almonds, iced custard slice is also good but apart from that there’s not much I buy in Tesco’s.
