Sightseeing

The Fire Island Lighthouse is open year-round and is worth a visit in every season. While currently under repair (June 2019), the walk up the 182 steps to the top are worth it. If you can't get up there, explore the grounds and museum.

Fishing

Wanna go fishing? Check out Captree Princess - they do daily 'party boats' (aka not private) that you can reach via water taxi. Catch dinner or at least try! More information can be found on the water taxi website: http://www.fireislandwatertaxi.com/
