Of interest if interested in local ship wreaks. Otherwise amazing to look at when lit up in the evening and one of my favourite spots for an afternoon swim.

An underground "hospital" built during WW2. Rumoured to be built as a gas chamber to which Hitler could quietly send "friends" on "holiday". If you've been to similar facilities elsewhere you may see the uncanny resemblance. Jersey has Walt Disney-fied there's to look like a hospital but here you can see it as it was.

It cost a £1, you can see the whole island and leave the car behind. Even better right next door is Island Rib Voyages. They offer exhilarating trips around Herm, Sark and more sight seeing Guernsey's coastline and marine habitat. Great fun.

The British are famed for their love of spicy food resulting from a colonial history spanning the globe. In consequence you'll find plenty of inspired food combinations and a great mix to explore in Guernsey as in most of Britain. A favourite for many locals and they cater well for allergies and intolerances.

You will come here because you want something nice to eat with a great atmosphere. But you'll convince your mates its because they can practice their golf swing or your other half that you can entertain the kids with the best mini golf course I've ever seen.
