One of the best kept secrets of the West Coast - free natural hotsprings. 15 minutes walk from carpark. Best at night or on a sunny day when there are not too many sandflies (they are hungriest on overcast days and around sunset and sunrise). You may need to take a shovel to dig them out. Check the house manual for a map of how to get there due to the changing of the river after floods.

Stop here for a swim on a hot day, jumping off the jetty. Fish for brown trout or salmon during the season. Great for kayaking or motor boating or just watching the stunning sunsets with a view of Mt Cook.
