Hello, my name is Esmeralda and I am part of a family originally from Zihuatanejo, where I was born in 1968. When I was six years old, my parents started a small business that over time grew into the well-known "La Perla" Restaurant in La Ropa Beach. At the age of 15 I traveled to Mexico City to continue my studies at the university; When I graduated I had the opportunity to travel to Europe as a gift from my parents, where I visited countries such as Spain, England, Scotland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, France (where I lived for a while and studied at the university) and Italy (where I would later also live for a while). At age 25 I started working at the then new "Reforma" newspaper in Mexico City (now one of the best newspapers in Mexico), and over time I traveled to some countries in Latin America, such as Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, and Guatemala (as well as Canada and the United States in North America). I got married in 2000 at the age of 32; unfortunately, that same year my father died due to his ALS condition. I traveled to Oceania for my Honeymoon, where we visited Australia and French Polynesia. A few years later I returned to Zihuatanejo in 2006 to start a new family business, Casa Celeste Hotel.
