COVID-19 Notice: 
We are hopeful and cautiously optimistic for Bozeman to remain a safe place to travel to. We are imploring all travelers to take the easy precautions when out in the stores by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and using hand sanitizer so we can protect Montana. While things appear fairly normal here we have paid a huge economic price and we don't want to risk paying it again, and if things get worse it will be blamed on tourism so PLEASE minimize risks.

This converted Model-A barn is located in the backyard with private yard, alley entrance, and alley parking spot. It has been fully remodeled to include vaulted ceilings with skylights, a full kitchen, gas fireplace and clawfoot bathtub.

The kitchen, living area, and bedroom are in one space and high ceilings with skylight and a big, happy plant overseeing the spacious room. There is a small, traditional bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower, and a closet for storage.

A cast iron gas fireplace easily heats the well-insulated studio. There is a small tv with digital antennae and a dvd player, and of course full-fledged internet service.

The entrance has a new large deck with sitting table and a bbq grill facing the wild gardens maintained by the owners. From the entrance gate in the alley, the foot path meanders under a huge shade tree, past the flower gardens, and to a world record size rhubarb plant welcoming you to the door!

One of the best things about the Garden Cottage is how close it is to downtown and the desirable, historic pars of Bozeman. It's easy to leave the car parked and get to much of what Bozeman has to offer, and we also deliver rental bikes to your door as an additional option at roughly half the price of other bike rental options.

Pets are permitted with a $50 fee per pet and agreement to our pet rules. Maximum length of stay with pet(s) is 2 weeks. We permit up to two dogs with prior approval for a $50 fee for each per week (or portion thereof) in addition to a $250 refundable deposit to be submitted with final payment. No other dogs will be allowed without prior approval. You agree to not hold the owners or Reservation Manager liable for any illness or injury that may occur to your dog(s) or from your dog(s) while on the premises, and to be held fully responsible and liable for any injury to persons or other dogs, or damages to property which your dog(s) may cause, and you agree to pay any bills for such. You agree that any damage costs will be your responsibility and that your credit card on file will be charged any excess amount (we will notify you before this is done). You agree to prevent your dog(s) from barking excessively and to keep your dog(s) inside at night. You agree that if neighbors complain more than once, you may be asked to vacate immediately and will forfeit any monies paid. You attest that your dog(s) are house-trained and agree to clean all dog refuse on the grounds before departure, and place it in a bag into the trash. Dogs are not permitted on furniture, and should be crated if left alone, or protections placed on furniture. If signs of dogs on the furniture are noted or excessive cleaning is needed a minimum of $50 extra per dog will be charged.

Garden Cottage is a licensed tourist home facility through the MT Dept of Health and Human Services, license # H-301554 County 16 Gallatin. Bozeman Cottage is owned and operated by Paul House, a licensed property manager in the state of Montana, license # RRE-RPM-LIC-45468.

Step by Step Driving Directions
The best way to get there from the airport is:
Follow the signs from the airport to Bozeman via I-90 and take the N 7th exit. Turn right on N 7th and drive towards Main St. Turn left onto Tamarack St at the stop light opposite of U-Haul. Go all the way to the next stop light on Rouse and turn right. Then turn left on Peach after 3 blocks. Turn right on Wallace after 3 more blocks. Turn right onto Fridley after 2 blocks, then left into the alley. Go up the alley and find the last parking spot on the left, it's the 3rd house from the end of the block. There is a little gate and a path through the yard to the Cottage. There is only room for one car to park in the alley.

If you're driving in from the east (I-90):
Take the first Bozeman exit which puts you on E Main St. Turn right onto Wallace Ave, which is one block after Broadway Ave, just after Montana Aleworks restaurant on the right. Go north to Fridley and turn left, then left into the alley. Go up the alley and find the last parking spot on the left, it's the 3rd house from the end of the block. There is a little gate and a path through the yard to the Cottage. There is only room for one car to park in the alley.

If you're coming from the west (I-90):
Take the 3rd Bozeman exit which puts you on E Main, and follow the directions above.

If you're coming in from the south (Big Sky or Ennis):
You'll be coming into town on W Main. Just go all the way down Main and at the far side of the downtown buildings is Church. Turn L and go north to Fridley. Turn right on Fridley and go half a block and turn right into the alley. Go up the alley and find the last parking spot on the left, it's the 3rd house from the end of the block. There is a little gate and a path through the yard to the Cottage. There is only room for one car to park in the alley.

Friendly Note: Bozeman is notorious for intersections with no stop signs or yield signs or anything, so beware that roaming around town - just because you don't see a stop sign for you doesn't mean that cross traffic has a stop sign.

A short walk downtown opens up all the amenities there, and a few blocks away from downtown is one of Bozeman's favorite bakeries, Wild Crumb. There is a great new breakfast/lunch place just around the corner called UnKnotted. Great atmosphere and high quality offerings! I started Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals in 1998 which has now grown to 17 properties, mostly within walking distance from downtown Bozeman. I also work in renewable energy - solar thermal, permaculture, electric bikes, and biofuels - and strive to keep Bozeman Cottage low impact. I stock the houses with non-toxic body products and cleaners, and are as efficient as possible with heating and cooling. I also run a bicycle rental business so you can easily and affordably see Bozeman on 2-wheels! Note: I manage a few different guest houses and reviews are shown collectively for all places. The few reservations that had to be cancelled over the years were mostly due to date conflicts when calendars failed to update automatically. The July 2016 reservation was cancelled when the guests revealed that they had two cats after using autobook, for which Airbnb charged me 100, so unfortunately I no longer use autobook.
