Located 20 minutes away in the hamlet of North River, this is a locally-mined garnet and mineral jewelry store. Judy and Joe Brown are the owners and operators of Garnet Studio. They have had a long fascination with things that come from the earth and their lifelong pursuit is shaping the native beauty of minerals into custom jewels. Joe’s father was actually the pit foreman for Barton Mine, where my grandfather worked for 35 years!

Hand crafted jewelry specializing in local garnet … reasonable prices, lovely owners …. Go to the bottom of Cemetery Road and go right on 13th Lake Road. Go about a half mile and go right on Casterline Road.
