This is more than an art gallery. It is the original place Mark Twain and others stayed in the 1800's before it was even a National Park. After the implosions I went to make sure it wasn't damaged. Original wood and fireplace make it a unique structure.

This gallery is fascinating and well worth the stop. It is inside the park. There are regular cultural programs through the art center. Look for their website and check out what's happening as you plan your trip.

Volcano Art Center Gallery is located in the historic 1877 Volcano House Hotel in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and operates under a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service.
