There are great but expensive seafood restaurants in central Edinburgh, but for good value and top quality I recommend venturing out of the city centre to Newhaven pier. If you don't fancy travelling, they do home delivery

Next door to a fish shop, this fish and chip shop is TV famous and serves delicious fish and chips cooked freshly and you can eat them on the harbour walls at Newhaven in the north of the city. Best reached by bus or taxi. You can order on their app and then pickup, or just roll up and look at the boats while you wait.

This seafood restaurant at Newhaven Harbour has made Lonely Planet's Top 10 new food experiences! There's also an attached 'chippie' for delicious takeaway fish and chips.
