Many visitors say the beach is ideal for families. Move to SI in the afternoon and try to get a burger at Poe's or BBQ at Home Team. Plenty of libations available - Dunleavy's pours a perfect Guinness. Be careful when parking that your tires are not on the pavement or you will get a ticket.

We always go to Station 28.5 because there are tidal pools at low tide, easier to find parking bc it’s not near the restaurants and it’s always breezy which is why all the kite boarders go to this station.

Sullivan’s Island is my favorite beach in the area. Very low key and the tide pools are great for little ones. Isle of palms comes in at a close 2nd though! Sullivan’s Island is only about 10 minutes away and it’s not just great for a day at the beach. There are some great restaurants, churches, and playgrounds to enjoy! Let’s not forget the amazing historical sights like Fort Moultrie!

Sullivan’s Island is my favorite local beach. Go early as traffic gets bad. Parking is free but be sure to park in correct place with all four tires off the road. The beach is beautiful and serene. No showers so bring a jug of water to rinse off. Stop by the Co-Op for food and drinks! Eat at Poe’s or Home Team. Stop and get an ice cream at Blackbeard’s. 🍦☀️🌊
