This is a great family beach for day-use located on Oneida lake. It is an hour drive away from the property. This lake, compared to others, can be a bit touristy in peak seasons, so if this isn't your jam, try some of the other lakes closer to the Adirondacks.

The park is open year round with free parking until Memorial Day. The park has many trails and a nice paved path around the picnic and campground area. Walkways are next to the lake.

This state park has a nice picnic area, playground area, splash pad, and a beach! It would be a nice family day-trip. The park does charge a day-use fee.

5 minutes away- Verona Beach State Park, located on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, is a picnicker's and camper's delight. Shaded picnic areas and the campground are adjacent to the beach with an excellent view of the water. The lake, Black Creek, cattail marshes, and bottomland hardwood swamps give Verona Beach one of the most diverse aquatic habitats in the Central Region, and well worth a hike on the "Woods and Wetland" nature trail. The winter season hosts snowmobilers, cross-country skiers and ice fishermen. The eastern portion of the park is open for hunting deer, small game, and waterfowl, in season.
