Located on the peninsula of Saint-Roch, the Fort-Carré is built on a rock culminating at 26m above sea level. Its walkway rises to 43m and offers a 360-degree panoramic view. Built by order of the King of France Henri II in the second half of the 16th century, this remarkably remarkable architectural ensemble, significantly improved by Vauban, served for a long time as a sentry for the nearby border with the then hostile County of Nice. defense post for Antibes, the last French port before this border. The Fort is surrounded by a 4-hectare protected park with typical Mediterranean flora and fauna. Avenue of November 11 06600 ANTIBES la France Phone : +33 (0) 4 92 90 52 13
