Definitely a day trip.... takes about half an hour to get there. it has beautiful nature walks and you can choose walks where you can see platypus, emus, koalas and snakes (yikes!) If you see a snake, stand still and wait for it to move on :-) Everything else is magnificent!!! ❤️ fyi - dogs are not allowed because it's a National Park however we f you need a pet sitter, that can be arranged :-)

Canberra is the 'bush capital' and just outside the city this nature reserve is great. You can see koalas, emus, even platypus if you're lucky

Head here to spot platypi, wallabies, koalas and emu. A beautiful place to escape for a morning or afternoon with a picnic. There's also a wonderful playground for children.
