Very scenic and secluded. It is not uncommon to see sea lions and dolphins. From the El Pescador Beach parking lot you will hike down a trail to reach the beach. It is a strenuous hike up to the parking lot but well worth the scenery and seclusion. $8 fee so pay the machine cause they do check and…

“They deliver! They have uber eats. Healthy chinese for those of us that are lazy and don't want to pay for Mr. Chows.”

“I actually prefer this beach to the exclusive Little Dume (nextdoor that requires a key). It stays sunny longer and it use to be a nude beach, so that is always fun!!”

“The hidden gem that is never busy or riddled with tourists, just enter through the small gate marked "public access" right after Geoffrey's restaurant”

Establishment
“It is a long and wide strip of sandy beach extending a mile or two. Great place to play volleyball, surf, body surf and people watch. Surf lessons are available as well. Like all State beaches there is an $8 parking fee. There are amenities and snack bars. Just south of Zuma is a sign for Westward Beach. This is a smaller beach with a significant rock formation at it's southernmost end. This is a popular film location and, of particular note, this beach was where they shot the final scene of the original "Planet of the Apes" movie.”
