There's a lot going on at the Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street. This iconic building underwent a stunning renovation in the early 00's so is worth a visit just for that. It houses a foodie paradise along with adjunct business like Heath Ceramics and the Gardener. On Saturdays and Thursdays there is a traditional Farmers Market surrounding the building from 8-2(Sat) and 9-1(Th). My favorite place to rest after taking it all in(and it's a lot!) is Boulet's Larder.

The Ferry Building is a tourist destination, but they also have good food like Hog Island Oyster Bar and Cow Girl Creamery.
